A continuation of the 'Rest and recreation' series of paintings and prints celebrating those lovingly maintained vehicles so symbolic of freedom and self determination. They frequent the atmospheric backdrop of Dungeness beach all during the year.

The harshly beautiful landscape, combined with the magnetic appeal of Dungeness as a 'destination' enhances the look, feel and purpose of each special vehicle.

This ongoing series of relief prints are made with a loose admiration for Soviet era Czechoslovakian match box prints. An aesthetic which suits the sublime, monstrous industrial atmosphere of Dungeness beach.
